[Chan Master Wu Jue Miao Tian’s Book of wisdom] Let it be.
Quoted from Zencosmos magazine No. 1

Chan practice emphasizes the importance of surpassing every materials and forms. When it comes to our daily lives, just let it be. Instead of being attached to physical needs, we are encouraged to experience what our inner spirit needs, that is, the purity.
Out inner spirit does not need earthly things. For our inner spirit, the things on earth are obstacles to reach the realm of Buddha. Let us try to understand the meaning of “being plain.” Practitioners do not say “being rich” in terms of material world, for when people have nothing are they richest. Only when we ask for nothing and desire nothing can we truly focus on the spiritual practice.

Money enough for our daily life is sufficient. If we could transform our physical’s needs into the spirit’s needs, then we are having potential to achieve the realm of Buddha. Only the wise can transform the finite wealth to infinite hope and formlessness wealth of the inner spirit.
